How long can you be out of the country untill your student visa expires

A ordinary TC student visa is generally issued for one year but may be renewed as log as you are pursuing a regular course of study leading to a degree. You can not be out of country for more than 90 days so your visa, unless it has expired, should still be good.

It is my understanding this visa can not be renewed out of Colombia. Decreto 2371 de 1996 Decree 2371 of 1996), Artículo (Articles) 54, 86, 87 and 88 cover your situation.
