How do I become a Colombian Citizen

Michael, unfortunately... the actual Colombian citizenship process starts after you arrive in Colombia on a "permanant" basis. After the initial period of getting the paper work at DAS you can apply after two years as a resident of Colombia but you must live in country most of the time. I suggest you visit a Columbian consulate to get the information and to start the process-consulates are near most major cities, ie Miami, NYC, LA,, Booston, et. al.

Good luck(not that hard but kinda like become a resident then a citizen in the USA)

Yeah, how the hell do you become a Colombian citizen? I though I was more Colombian than arepa, agua de panela y perico. But according to some white Colombian woman in NYC consulado, I’m not. I don’t have to proper papers or cedula. I should be asking her for papers, my people have been in this so called Colombia for ever, from the beginning of time and she has the gall to deny my native/Indian ass entry to my own country.
