CelticAce88 says on Jul 12, 2009, 11:46: I went out for a few beers to celebrate a mate's birthday in London just over 6 years ago. Another one of his friends was there who was dating a Colombian girl at the time. That girl persuaded one of her friends to come along. I got really drunk and was downing bottles of Smirnoff Ice in one go trying to impress the friand! We endedd up swapping numbers and, despite my drunken behaviour, she agreed to meet me for a date the next weekend.

Robert Jorge says on Jul 12, 2009, 12:15: I was on a "sort of" date with a Llanera in Villavicencio. She was a dentist, and she and I and my buddy all went to Aguapinelas. Well, there was not really any chemistry between her and I. The next morning, I told my buddy that I didn't think things were going to go anywhere with the dentist. My buddy said a girl had come up to him while I was in the bathroom the night before at the club, and gave him her phone number and her friend's. We called the girls up, we all went out that night, and the "friend" ended up being my future ex-wife. "You can not take the barrio out of the girl you really can't." Mephisto410 says on Jul 12, 2009, 12:53: the first time I went to Medellin I didnt spend much time there my itinerary was full of places outside of Medellin… (eje cafetero, los termales, rio claro, and some small towns) After finally making it back to Medellin my cousin took me out to the usual tourist stuff in Medellin, we passed by the parque de los pies descalsos, and we met these two girls, one was very pretty the other not so hot… I conned my cousin to take one for the team and take the ugly one. We talked and eventually met up with them once again at parque lleras before I left. Nothing came of it at first I wasn’t too excited of a long distance relationship, but after I came back home and kept in contact with her online and so forth, something eventually clicked and now I go back every few months. I guess I have to decide eventually if its going to the next step or not because I cant keep doing that for ever. Papi de Alejo says on Jul 12, 2009, 13:28: The first time I went to Colombia, was to San Andres with a girlfriend from Santa Marta who I had met while she was studying in the Dominican Republic. I enjoyed San Andres and wanted to know more about Colombia and the city that she called home. She didn't want me to go there and discouraged me. I bought a ticket to Santa Marta thinking that she would relent and come with me but she didn't. I decided to go anyway. I met her brother who was a great guy who showed me around and spent alot of time with me. One day he came by with his daughter and we went for a walk. We walked into the artesan callejon between Santa Maria del Mar and Hotel Karey and I saw a very striking artesania with a very well decorated local. I bought several items including a hand-made bracelet from her. My friend walked away and I stayed back chatted a little about the items in her local and asked her if I could take a foto. She agreed and I did. The next day, my friend couldn't come by, so I went, printed the foto and took it back to the local and gave it to her. We chatted some more and I asked for her email address but she said that she was too busy to go to internet cafes and gave me two phone numbers instead. When I returned to the states, I called the first number and someone answered in Spanish. At the time my Spanish was pretty much non existent. I apologized and hung up. I did this a few more times over several days and on the third try, the woman spoke very slowly and clearly and expressed that the person who I wanted to talk to had asked that she give me her number if I called. She gave it to me and I then realized that it was the second number that she had given me. Never thought about trying that. Just thought that she had given me numbers to get rid of me. We talked on the phone regularly over the next five months and her mother invited me to come and stay with them. I went back in January and spent two weeks with the family outside of Santa Marta and even went to visit extended family in Atlantico. I arrived as a friend and left as a novio. Live simply... utopiacowboy says on Jul 12, 2009, 13:52: I used to have a ranch near the Mexican border and since there were more cows than people where I lived, I thought that maybe I could hook up with a Mexicana who lived nearby on one of the online sites. I was looking at the new profiles one day and I see a photo of this woman who really hit me. I looked at her profile but unfortunately she was from Colombia so I resolved to put her out of my mind. There was no way I was going to Colombia! Well, I kept thinking about her. It was like there was a voice that kept badgering me about her and wouldn't let go. After a couple of weeks of this, I thought, what the hell,I'm not going to fight this so I wrote her an email. That was that. She later told me that when her husband was dying in her arms, he told her that he would find someone for her. I believe that he did. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

gatogris says on Jul 12, 2009, 14:46: It was in Tulua, actually. I walked into a bar on a hot afternoon. A lovely young woman with honey-colored hair sat behind the bar on a stool watching fashion models flounce down the runway to muted applause on a mounted flat screen. After a while, the young woman came over to my table holding a bottle of Aguila so cold I could make out chips of ice in the bottle. She wore a short, low-cut emerald sundress with a slit up the side and had an exquisitely beautiful figure, somehow both lissome and voluptuous. Gold bracelets adorned her wrists, a gold sunburst spread across her clavicle and touched the tops of her breasts, and gold dripped from her earlobes. Her skin was the color of cinnamon, and as she smiled and dimpled in greeting, she showed a lot of white, even teeth. Her eyes narrowed and her black pupils dilated like a cat's in the night.

ratbag says on Jul 12, 2009, 14:46: P/C/L..no mate this is true love. You should see the way she holds my hand and tells me that she is always thinking about me. No girl in the USA has ever shown me this much affection. She is madly in love. She told me she is so lonely when I'm gone. It's hard to believe that a girl so beautiful can be single. Also I'm the first and only man she has ever been with. She even gets on cam every week to remind me about the western union money..she is very intelligent. I can't wait to bring her to the USA to settle down with me. It's going to go great. It's perfect.
