How close am I?

Well, I finally got some movement on my novia's 129-F application. It was submitted to California SC (via Texas) on May 23. This week I got a letter requesting more proof that we had met in person. I submitted a copy of my e-ticket, and the corresponding pages from my passport showing my entry and exit from Colombia on the listed dates.

Am I right to assume that if there are any other issues with the application, I would have likely been notified in the same letter? Also, assuming my info satisfies their question, and I overnighted it (should have arrived today), what time frame am I looking at now? Is initial approval next week realisitic?

Thanks,

DH

Who knows when they will approve? What you mentioned sending proves that you went to Colombia, it doesn't prove that you have met the lady. Send them photographs of the two of you together.

I agree with Michael Photographs of you two together are great along with your itinerary (copies of passport pages, boarding passes etc.)
I received an RFE also and it was approved within 10 days of my sending the information back to them (my case was in Nebraska.) I think one week or two is realistic for approval after they receive it and also think that the rest of the package must be OK - MY RFE was for original signed copy of her G325a (not mine!)
Good luck and try Visa Journey forums also - vey helpful with loads of information! http://www.visajourney.com/faq/index.htm#outline

The stuff you sent proves that you went to Colombia but it doesn't prove that you met her. Photos of the two of you together are pretty much a necessity for fiancees. Nothing is required of spouses except their marriage certificate.

Ditto on MikeB and Utopiacowboy, doyou have photos? I don´t know if this would help or not, but what a bout a letter from someone stating they were with the two of you or something to that matter...May sound dumb, I don´t know, anybody?????

Already sent pics Forgot to mention that I submitted pictures with the original application. That shows that we have met. But the RFE said since those pics weren't date stamped, they needed something more showing that I was in Colombia to meet her during the prior two years.
I submitted e-mails date stamped showing the progression of the relationship as well.

Thanks for the input.

In that case I think you're ok.
