How best to present my fiance's name (two last names)

My fiance has two last names (this is common) - what is the best way to list her name on the K1 package documents?

I know some use hyphens, but her passport doesn't have her name hyphenated, thus I'm guess I should show it as "two last names". But how is this entered in document fields that don't have room or don't allow sufficiently obvious presenation?

Maybe this:
last1 last2, first??

Thanks

My fiancee has two first and last names. They use Ana in front of a lot of first names. All her passport etc.. I hyphenated both the first and last names in the paperwork I sent. It was approved at Vermont no problem. I do worry about the embassy interview as we have not had that yet. However I don't think it will be a problem. I used the fillable forms online and there was enough room.

Hi Flaleo, I bet Brians has more experience, however I am linking you to a site wich show you the answer to your question:

3.2.2)...(newsgroup)..How should a latin name (first name, fathers last name, mothers last name) be put on the G-325A and I-129F?
A..(newsgroup)..What others have done successfully is to use the first (fathers) last name on the forms. Then in the cover letter, state the full name including both last names and that you are only using the first (fathers) last name on the forms.

Make it identical Her cedula, birth certificate, baptismal papers, and passport should all be identical. Make sure you use her name exactly as it is on those documents. That is the only was to be truly safe.

If those documents aren't all the same, you have another problem.

Here is what I did. I hyphenated her two last names and put them in the space for her last name on ALL of the paperwork for both the USCIS and the embassy. My wife successfully received her K-3 and is scheduled to have her AOS interview shortly so I know this works.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

I think consistancy with documents and from form to form is the key. we had some minor discrepancies; but, had all documentation with reasonable explainations to explain any differences.

I have read of other people having problems with discrepancies, but I have no direct relations with anyone that has had a problem.

The issue is often a complicated and convoluted one. For example; in another post I pointed out that if you submit 10,000 pages of documents to prove your relationship, by proceedure and law they have to read each and every document.

They also are evaluated on number of applications processed. So given a chioce of hours or boring reading and sorting or rejection from the starting line for a simple spelling error...they will reject your application and hope someone else gets to deal with it down the road.

My wife had several spelling conflicts on her applications and we had to simply explain them and show the original documents and had no problems.
