My fiance has two last names (this is common) - what is the best way to list her name on the K1 package documents?
I know some use hyphens, but her passport doesn't have her name hyphenated, thus I'm guess I should show it as "two last names". But how is this entered in document fields that don't have room or don't allow sufficiently obvious presenation?
Maybe this:
last1 last2, first??
Thanks

I hyphenated both the first and last names in the paperwork I sent. It was approved at Vermont no problem. I do worry about the embassy interview as we have not had that yet. However I don't think it will be a problem. I used the fillable forms online and there was enough room.

utopiacowboy says on Apr 12, 2005, 11:21: Here is what I did. I hyphenated her two last names and put them in the space for her last name on ALL of the paperwork for both the USCIS and the embassy. My wife successfully received her K-3 and is scheduled to have her AOS interview shortly so I know this works. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
