I'm moving to Houston for 3 years within a month. I will need to go to Bogotá, Cali and Cartagena from time to time. Does any one know if there is a direct connection? I'm hoping there is a direct flight to at least one of these cities, but a request on the internet brings me around Miami first.
Also, I need to improve my spanish while I live in Houston and I'm looking for private lessons as I won't be able to meet up in a class regulary. If anyone living in Houston should be interested in earning some extras or maybe knows someone, I will be very interested. It could be something like 4 hours a week or more. The person doesn't need to be a professional. There are lots of latinos in Houston, so it shouldn't be a problem to find a teacher, but maybe someone knows someone..who knows someone who.........

william_andrew_channell says on Jan 4, 2005, 11:35: OF COURSE Of course there are direct flights between HOU and BOG. The problem is that when you search for flights on the internet they will not show nonstop flights unless you specify it in the search. Don't ask me why; I have no idea. I prefer to use cheaptickets.com, and be sure to specify 'nonstop' in the search. As for CTG and CLO you still have to make the connection in BOG.

utopiacowboy says on Jan 4, 2005, 11:42: Continental has a daily nonstop from Houston Bush to Bogota. The only problem is it is usually more expensive than going through Miami. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

durango says on Jan 28, 2005, 11:16: Travel to Cali You can catch a flight daily from Houston to Cali but it goes via Panama. However, the layover is only around an hour both ways. The flight is on Continental/Copa and the total travel time is around 6 hrs. I paid $642.00 round trip and I recommend this flight.
