Hotels

Please tell me what American Hotels I can find in North Bogota. I am just looking to see what is there. IF anyone has any links please send them to me. I am just trying to find the best hotel in that area of the city. Thanks for the information.

There's a Radisson and a Sheraton if you're looking for one of the U.S chains. While they're probably very good, they would hardly be considered the best hotels in the area.

Other hotels There are other excellent Hotels in the North but they´re not american, for example La Fontana across from Unicentro Mall.
Intercontinental Tequendama is in the downtown area not in the north.

There are lots of hotels in the north of the city. Radisson is quite nice, La Fontana, Hacienda Royal, Charleston Hotel, von Humboldt Grand Hotel and Victoria Regia...
Ive seen a lot of hotels within walking distance from zona rosa and parque de la 93 but I really couldnt say if theiyre any good. The ones above I know and have either stayed there or been there for dinner...theyre alright :)

Family owned Are there any small, family owned hotels in that same area? I would rather stay in a less expesive, non large corporation owned hotel. I find that my time and money is better spent with indiviuals or away from my hotel room. Any help would be appreciated.

Radisson-North Bogota gets my vote. I have stayed at the Radisson in North Bogota several times. Their best suites run approximately $215-235 per night and have a dinning area/living room and separate master bed room with 1 1/2 baths. The suites have a nice view of the north part of the city and the mountains. I am in a wheelchair and the staff was very accommodating and courteous. The hotel also has great amenities with pool/jacuzzis, a spa/full gym, restaurant/bar and multiple conference rooms. The Radisson is 20-30 minutes from the airport, easy to access and very close walking distance to the Hacienda Santa Babarbra shopping mall. Go to www.radisson.com

As far as the Sherton Four Points, it is not in the northern part of the city, but it is real close to the airport. I have also stayed here several times. It's not as nice as the Radisson, the suites are small and the beds are hard, but its also cheaper.

You also may want to check out the Hacienda Royal which connected is to the Hacienda Santa Barbabra shopping center. I have not stayed there but it looks very nice.
