Hotels in Santa Marta

Has anyone stayed at the Zuana Beach Resort in Santa Marta? If so, can you tell me your overall experience. Are the beaches nice/clean? Is it close to playa rodedero?

Any other hotels you would recommend? Prefer 4 or 5 star hotels.

Thanks in advance

Sol Hotel Inn When I was in Santa Marta I stayed at the Sol Hotel Inn, Carrera 1C,
No.20-23. The place is clean, the staff friendly, and I paid US $15.
per night. Located right on the water front. easy walking distance to downtown and the resturants. Balcony rooms have a hammock over looking the water. Perfect for those wonderful sunsets! The beaches at El Rodadero are nice. Plus you can head into Parque Nacional Tayrona to find some excellent beaches.
Viva Colombia!

zuana is marvelous.... the beach is very clean, semi-private, the rooms are nicely furnished and decorated, and the swimming pool has a wonderful garden... it is really, really nice, and it's about 10 or 15 min from rodadero by taxi, but they probably have shuttle buses, I don't know... a similar hotel is Irotama which is very near too...
