Hotels in Medellin

I am returning later this month to Medellin after about 1 1/2 years since my last visit. Last time I was there, I stayed at this hotel in Carrera 50 near the Centro Comercial Villanueva but I can't seem to reach the hotel by phone now.

The name of it was Hotel Ambassador and it had a rooftop pool. Does anyone know if it is still in business and if so, what is the price per night there? I was also considering staying at Hotel Belfort in Calle 17. Does anyone know anything about this hotel?

Belfort Last September, I've had a rate at the Belfort Medellin at $ 120 000/night for a two weeks stay.

The location is really good, at walking distance to Parque Llieras ; the staff was helpful and the place was quite nice, yet if I go back one day to Medellin, maybe i'd choose better Poblado Plaza.

Try the... Hotel Plaza Rosa,Carrera 32D in El Poblado. If you want to check out the Belfort at http://www.hotelbelfort.com. More expensive than the Plaza Rosa and also in El Poblado.

i like the intercontinental... in las palmas in upper poblado..has everything and real nice. not the cheapest, but in my estimation, it's still the best.
