Hotels in Cali Colombia

Does anyone know the names of any good hotels in Cali?

Doesn't matter if they are hostels or motels/hotels..

Thanks

Mishelle

Intercontinental Hotel is my favorite it is the best one in Cali. Secure (armed guards everywhere), hot water, air conditioning, big rooms, king and queen beds, good restaurant and room service, great service, everybody is very friendly. It is very centric close to most places. I do not know if you have been to Cali before. I have stayed at the Sheraton very good, the Radisson is good. Torre de Cali is okay. I have stayed at a couple smaller one but they did not have air conditioning and hot water. If you need more information let me know.

Peter Miami

Cali Hotels The Intercontinental and the Hotel Dann Carlton are the best in my opinion.
Here's a list of Cali hotels. If you want to stay in a particular barrio, I can advise you as to which hotels to choose from.

what is your budget? I stayed at apartment hotel close ot avienda sexta for 75k-95k/night. they have guards, a/c & hotwater i can walk to avienda sexta 5 mins. If you have the bucks intercontinental is the way to go. The only thing i didn't like about interncontinental was it would've been a LONG walk(and you don't want to walk a night) to avienda sexta because it's across the bridge. But of course, if you can afford intercontinental then you can afford taxis all the time.

Intercontiental and the other hotels are too expensive but they are nice. This guy's name is jose. Is lived in the USA for 30 years and is now retired in cali. His apartments are as nice as the ones int he USA and he should charge between 40,000 to 60,000 pesos a day. They are large and 3 minutes of avenida sexta. His number is 315-596-7723. His email is pisarom at telesat.com.co I am in cali often and he has the best deal that I have found. The bad things is, after you have returned a few times, he does begin to hike the price on you.

... Latingirl, the two aparta hotel i stay was:

Aparta hotel del rio (acrross the bridge from polica station)
90-100k/night depending on room. Very noisy in the morning, not a problem if you need to get up early 7-8AM.

Aparta Hotel Montecarlo
calle 22 norte, not 5N-15, tel 667 5991/92/93
75k/night not as nice as del rio but a little close to avienda sexta

Jlove, Do you get the WHOLE apartment to yourself for that price or are you renting one room from the apartment he is LIVING in? Thanks for the info. If you get the whole apartment to yourself, that's great deal.

Hi

I stayed at the Intercontinental and at Dann Carlton. Both are great, but expensive. If security is an issue, choose Intercontinental. For my next stay in Cali in December (Feria de Cali!) I intend to rent an apartment.

It's pretty hard to find apartments in Cali over the Internet! Has anyone got a good tip?
JLove: Sounds interesting...but would also like to know if you can rent a whole apartment by yourself.

cheers
