ok , shagging territory is on avenida sexta " zona rosa" and there are many hotels close, 8th, 9th avenida, like to chance it , 4th close to the river pero , all the fun is , ave 6sta, con 18, 17 16 , just listen for the RUMBA

FOR NYB: hey, there's alot of good places and deals that are hidden and hard to find. Likewise, there's alot of crappy deals.... like camp says, will blind-side ya.

Jus 4 your interest, yeah... I just spent last week in a Hotel recommended by A.B. The rooms are really very nice. No carpets, but.... more like marbled tile floors, and the doors and trim are that rich dark red wood, mus be mahogany or something similar...separate kitchenette...nice modern appliances....very comfortable and exceptionally clean....breakfast included, delivered to your door within about 15 minutes of phone order...good a.c..... big tv, and good cd/dvd player. The staff....en todo.....all were exceptional in their ways, courteous, helpful and attentive... and always: 'hoping you like' everything they have done for you..... (oh! btw... this time, I think I got things straight and ... didn't waste my time with tipping so much) And, they were continuous... kept on keeping on... working hard to please. Yeah... I like that....

No one....but, no one was discourteous.

The only thing I bitched about (to Arturo) was: 'no hot water'.
no gusta... but.... being the person I am, and valuing the therapeutic value of 'finishing' with a cold shower.... really, it wasn't ice cold, just..... cold, tolerable, bearable..... and really, the weather in Cali for now, was great,... warm enough to work up a sweat, walking up and down hills.

And, as for Cali..... my own biggest bitch is the daytime air...(doesn't seem as bad at night, for some reason)... but they need to clean-up the freakin air.... the higher up you are, it seems better.... head for the zoo, man!
