Hotel Platypus

This place appears very inexpensive. Are the private rooms clean and at least semi-quiet? Would lime to find a hotel in north Bogota no more than $30 USD. Any ideas?

Gracias,

Freedom

Hostal Platypus is not a hotel, it's a hostal, that might give you different idea of the place.

The rooms are clean Its a very sociable place and fantastic for information.

It depends on who is staying there at the time things can get a bit noisy but the staff usually encourage everyone to go out by 10pm or atleast close the doors to the social area and turn the music down.

I recommend it, especially if you want to learn the best places to visit.

The rooms are without TV and few have private bath.

They have just opened Platypus 3 this is apparently quieter, 6 private rooms sharing a courtyard, kitchen and social area. If you book in advance and your planning on staying awhile Id recommend asking about staying there.

It all depends on who is staying there though and how respectful they are.

i also prefer this area to the North as I think the night lifes better and it is closer to the places i like to visit.
