Hostels in Ibague????

Whoever has info about where to stay and things to do in Ibaque let me know. When I search hotels in the city I only get one. I have selected a hotel but want to know what the options are. Those with info respond.

Hi there,

Ibagué does not have real hostels; there are many hoteles, like:

MORE EXPENSIVES
Sofitel Altamira (the best, no good price)
Hotel Casa Morales

MIDDLE PRICE
Hotel Ambalá (the most traditional, in downtown), decent price
Hotel Nelsons Inn, in downtown, decent price

LOW PRICE BUT DECENT
Hotel del CENTRO, is very cheap, clean... in the downtown

Best wishes,

FHERNANDO

Hello, stayed at Sofitel Hotel twice, alittle expensive $100 per night, but 5 star and a great free breakfast buffet, great swimming pool, tennis and scenery. Comfatolima is on outsirts, nice and cheaper, nice amenities, pool, tennis and little restaurant, more outdoorsy, but nice, maybe 3 star. Downtown Ambala and Hotel del Centro, downtown area near central plaza, nice 2-3 star, older type rooms. Mr. Hernando is right on with descriptions. Good luck and best

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I have phone numbers for some of the hotels. Sofitel Altamira: 982-266-6111. Ambalá: 982-261-3888. Nelson Inn: 982-261-1810. Casa Morales: 982-262-0322.

I'm sure there are a lot of people on here that know much more about things to do in Tolima than i do; however, I do know that there are several eco-parks: Fundación Orquideas del Tolima; Jardin Botanico San Jorge; Parque Museo La Martinica; Santa Fe de los Guaduales. I went to Santa Fe de los Guaduales and had a good time hiking, swimming and eating sancocho. The mountains are close, rivers for swimming, etc.

Rumba: Bahia Bar; La Tienda del Cafe; Unplugged; Macumba; etc.

Also, if you haven't been to Quindío, it isn't that far away. Beautiful scenery and a couple parks: Parque Nacional del Café and Panaca.

Go have a great time! Los tolimenses are extremely warm and friendly and Ibagué is a beautiful city!

Hoy se nota en la floresta un ambiente de alegría. ¡Y el rumor de ranchería es mas dulce y sabe a fiesta!
