HOLY CRAP

What´s up pbh. Haven´t been in Colombia (Medellin) for a year and a half. Finally am here now. And HOLY CRAP how much this city has changed.. It has become the upper east freekin side... Wwaayy to sanitized for my tastes.. I can´t even walk down the streets anymore without getting robbed!!! Single ply generic toilet paper has more value then my dollar. 1800 +/- And there are English announcements on the metro. What the fck is going on?¿?¿. I am truly happy for the paisas, but..holy freekin Williamsburg Bed/Stuy gentrification crap!!! HOLY CRAP

I Actually DID get robbed..(twice) two different times... I had to go to the transvestite section to make it happen.. Those freaks taxed my cell phone one night.. Then they stole my watch (another night) I had it in my pocket. There is still hope for audacity in Medellin.. But where the fck am I gonna go when the mayor kicks out the t-girls?¿? Fallujah?

What's too sanitized? El Centro and all of the North of Medellin is still decrepit and dangerous. Panama City, Santiago de Chile, Monterrey -- Now those are some antiseptic places!

Watch the broad brush. Parts of Bello are quite nice. And the pedestrian mall along Avenida Junin in Centro isn't all that bad or dangerous.
