hiring a driver to Andres Carne De Res

I finally plan to make the trip to Andres Carne De Res this Friday. I am looking for a driver for me and three of my friends. The best price I have found is 213.000. This is for the round trip drive from Bogota and having the driver stick around for 6 hours. Does anyone know if this price can be beat?

Also, I know the tab is going to be hefty. Can you use a credit card at Andres? What kind of bill should each person expect?

Why don't you just take a taxi there for 30,000 or 35,000 k and then get one back for maybe a little more (you will be able to find one who can enter back into Bogota without too much difficulty).

Are there an abundance of taxis leaving there at 3am? I would hate to be stranded.

Someone may be able to give an update as my last time there was over a year ago; when I went, there were an abundance of taxis however not all were able to enter Bogota. I didn't have too much trouble, but did have to go to a few before i found one.

Sorry I forgot - there is a company that puts on minibuises there with various takeouts and pick-ups. Can't remember the name but I wrote about it a few years ago on here. Their office is just down from p 93. If you do a search or maybe ring Andres they can give you the name / number.

It wasnt organised or run by Andres, however I thought they would know about it. I found the old link and it was

www.rutasana.com

Seems that it no longer works though; there was another company who did it as well.
