There are definitely political discussions here; but I would say this site is not geared towards politics. We basically all care deeply for Colombia, enjoy chatting and sharing information about Colombia with others that are also interested in the same. It is a very friendly site in my opinion.

Totally agree with Robert. If you want to discuss politics, there is often much to keep you interested here. But, I've found it only makes but a small part of the forums.
All you need to do is check out the travel guides or the visa sections. Even plenty of adverts for apartments, spanish and/or english lessons. Much variety to be found.

You can expect "expert" advice ranging from some self called experts on Chucha by the on house veterinarian, Visa, Economics, how to nail or to be nailed, how to wisely get rid of a few Colombians, how to take a Taxi in Bogotá 101, you will learn that most activities affecting the image of countries different from Colombia are in reality inventions by the Farc or the bad Colombian newsmen.

But be aware do not take all prediction or advices as written in stone. Here is one example of a prediction that went down the toilet.

The fortunate thing is the majority of the forum can give you 20 different answers to one simple question....

For the most part, it is helpful, based on what you're truly asking....

You can get that too, depending who happens to be at the keyboard. If you have the strength and not-too-thin skin you'll get good info, a sense of belonging to a community and perhaps even friends. I have, anyway.

pbh is a great site, and you can glean much information and I will give as much info as I can especialy regarding cali, but I react badly to questions such as, regardless of sex, " I've heard you can go beserk in cali and abuse all types of people and turn into a sexually insane lunatic" this may be true but nevertheless respect the gringos

We might have to finally have that Virtual Rumba de Pbh, one night as it gets closer to the New Year.
