webmanco says on Jun 6, 2008, 03:09: Something exciting would be looking for big rocks on "cerros orientales" and getting thru the mountains to Suesca. I don´t know if they let you hike but in Factatativa there are some kind of big rocks, called El Tunjo. ...A yo, déjenme queto y no me jodan má! ... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Bill Turley (Trustee board) (☼Travelguide writer) says on Jun 6, 2008, 06:50: Here there is a trail to the peak of Mountain Somondoco. It takes about 2 hours each way. There is a procession each September that takes about 3 hours with the statues and other paraphenalia. (Sept 14 this year). My wife's kids all take several hour hikes whenever they visit. There are several small towns some hours apart. Mr. Bill Somondoco 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

travelingirl says on Jun 7, 2008, 20:24: You could go on an excursion around Villa de Leyva and see the waterfalls. Or climb up to Virgen de Guadalupe. hehe It wouldn't really be classified as a "hike" or "exciting" but I do recommend going as it is off the beaten path and you'll be the only person up there, other than the people that actually live there.
