That'd be great, thanks. Have you done it? What was it like?

Unfortunately I haven't.. it was on the list of things to do but we ran out of time...

It is called Iguaque... and they even have information about it in English: Link:
http://www.presidencia.gov.co/parques/english/iguaque.htm It might not be more than a dayhike..

Anyhow I know that a popular multi-day is the Parque Nacional del Cucuy- there are some routes along the right-hand menu here.. I'd like to try it next time but don't know if I will have enought time to get used to the elevation for hiking..

And their office in Bogota (might be worth a call or a visit) is:
Dirección: Carrera 10 N. 20 - 30 Bogotá.
E-mail: ecoturismo at parquesnacionales.gov.co
PBX: (571) 3532400 Ext. 138-139

Something exciting would be looking for big rocks on "cerros orientales" and getting thru the mountains to Suesca. I don´t know if they let you hike but in Factatativa there are some kind of big rocks, called El Tunjo.

This one is in Santander, I had not been there but just found the video.

Then in Boyaca there is El Nevado del Cocuy.

For the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy you need at least 3 days, better 5. Incredible but cold. If you go off season you wont see nobody.

In Bogota you can climb the Cerro Monserrate....lol

or try Chicaque, but this is walking through cloud forest and not hiking... but you can do it in one day, near Soacha. Nice place, here is the website:

have fun

You could go on an excursion around Villa de Leyva and see the waterfalls. Or climb up to Virgen de Guadalupe. hehe It wouldn't really be classified as a "hike" or "exciting" but I do recommend going as it is off the beaten path and you'll be the only person up there, other than the people that actually live there.
