High Speed Internet in Barranquilla

What is the availability of high speed internet in Barranquilla? Is it mainly DSL or Cable? I was told that only certain estratas have high speed availability, but I am not sure if this is true.

It can take some time My girlfriend just got high speed put in her house but it took almost a month of waiting. The company promised to come within two weeks, but then said they were too busy and couldn't make the appointment. I saw several companies advertising installation, though, so maybe shop around and see if they can install it faster.
