I've never talked to any man who was in a hurry to leave Colombia. I panicked last time when I realized I was actually getting on the plane back for this hum-drum life. Ever since I made my plans to come back I've got that spring back in my step. I feel like electricity is in my veins when I'm in Colombia. What a great place! I went to Mexico 3 weeks later and Colombia ruined it for me. I was always comparing and as I said in other posts the only thing I liked better in Mexico was the food. Not saying the food is bad in Colombia but there are more Mexican restaurants for a reason. I was dueling with myself trying to rationalize how long I could stretch my plans this next trip. This post is upsetting to me:(

Puddin,
I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm American but I'm envious that you have family and opportunity to stay in Colombia and I don't . I would love to have that. When I see something that I would appreciate and you don't it just makes me kinda sad that you don't see it from my perspective I guess. You can pick between the two Countries I can't. I don't have any special talents or extra money so that I could stay in Colombia. So I guess what I'm saying is that if anyone wants to offer a poor talentless Americano a gig to stay in Colombia. Send me a message! I'd work hard to be able to live down there I don't think I'd miss the States honestly.:)

The thing with Colombia, is that you really need to know your way around... either you go out and explore the city and the surrounding area on your own... but, I have a feeling that your family probably wont let you do that.... or you party with cousins that are your age.... they can show you the ropes... Haven't you met anyone in school that you could party with.... geez, I know I partied while in Colombia.... and Cali does have quite a few things to do...

Gringo in Bogota - Bogota v. Cali? No comparison, Cali is way better. I mean Cali is way better if you like nice weather and hot chicks. And as far as cities - Bogota is not a great city. Chicago is a great city, New York is a great city, SF is a great city, Rome is a great City, Buenos Aires is a great city, Tokyo is off the hizzie, but bogota. I am not knocking bogota but, Bogota saying that Cali is a weak city is the pot calling the kettle black.
