Help! problem with PBH font size

Why is it that on my PC at work (where I waste most of the day checking in and out to PBH) the font size is perfect - but on my PC at home I can't read it as it's too small. It's gives me greater justification for spending more time on PBH at work but is frustrating if it's the weekend or I'm on holiday. Is it a PBH problem or should I adjust something on my PC? I am not a computer nerd so I need advice.

I'm guessing... You're viewing PBH on a small monitor at work which has its screen resolution set low (800 x 600) and at home you have a larger display with a higher screen resolution setting. The standard desktop or PC setting (these days) is 1024 x 768 but larger displays like the 21" CRT I use is at 1280 x 1024 and they can be set much higher (1600 x 1200 +) dependent upon the display having support for high resolutions.

To see PBH at a nice font size on different machines, I use a keyboard shortcut: Control and + or Control and - to increase or decrease font sizes.

Shortcut for browser font size Press the Ctrl key while rolling your mouse wheel to easily change font sizes.

This will work with Internet Explorer for many sites including PBH. However, many sites use style sheets to specifically set font sizes. Such sites won't allow font size changes in IE unless you go into Internet Options and select Ignore Font Sizes under the Accessibility button. However, Firefox will let you override font sizes by default.

No idea what 'firefox will let you override font sizes by default' means but thanks anyway.

thank you guys

You helped me too to solve my problem with font sizes, I have recently changed screens and on my new screen everything showed really tiny. I had to change the resolution to improve the quality of the pictures but at the same time the text and the icons became tiny. I'm totally computer illiterate too.

Cheers,
Desi
