help me save my holiday!

Sorry, I know this is a boring question, that people have asked before. I'm just after some recommendations for cheap hostels that are ok to stay in, in Cartagena. My boyf. thinks we can't afford our holiday and I am trying to persuade him otherwise!
Also, hes worried about it being too hot at night to sleep and wants aircon. What are the temperatures like at night in february?
I'd really appreciate some help, cause I am really really excited about going to Colombia, and he is trying to chicken out on me!
Thanks
Felicity

felicity... just go, it will be warm at night, and the hostels i'm familiar with don't have--for the most part--airconditioning, but they have ceiling fans and they work fine.

tell the other half to throw the reticence to the wind and go and enjoy yourselves. you wont regret it...either of you.

You're going to sweat like farm animals but is that such a bad thing? Getting all hot and slippery rubbing up against each other? Sweat dripping off each other as though you've just come out of a shower?

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Just Do It You will enjoy yourself if you go. Februrary is a good time, because you could visit the carnival in Barranquilla if you go at the right time. 25000 per person if you take the bus/minivan from CTG to BAQ. As far as cheap hotels go, you could just wing it and ask a local taxi driver for his recommendations on a cheap, clean, and safe hotel. I met a single 40 year old woman on the plane there that did just that, and she only knew very basic spanish. That is a girl traveling by herself to Colombia for her first time. I have a taxi guy there named Arnaldo Martinez cell 3157128008 or 3008338188. I have used him on 2 different trips and he was fair on his prices and my valuables were safe in his taxi, even when I was not there, which is very important. His english is bad, so you have to know basic spanish. I don't know what your budget is, but if you wnat to live it up for a little bit, you can try the Hilton. If you book far enough in advance you can get a good rate there if you search their website hard enough for the special, because they will not tell you about it or you can try www.octopustravel-us.com to book there.
