Help I need to learn salsa here in NYC or New Jersey!!

Hello everyone!! I am Colombian and Puerto Rican... but I feel very connected to my Colombian side more.. Can someone tell me where I can find salsa classes (but Colombian style dancing) in NYC or New Jersey.. I know the basic steps but I need help in turns and becoming better... Also if that place has cumbias to learn that would be great!! Thanks guys!!

Hello. I am going to Colombia this year and I was in the same boat. I checked Arthur Murray but that was extremely expensive so i didn't do it. We have in Florida small studios where you meet with a group of people and they teach you salsa. it is $10 per hour (much cheaper than AM) and it is a lot of fun. I have learned a lot in there and I started not even knowing what was salsa. Honestly I would advise you to look online and there must be something comparable to what we have here in orlando. The studio I go to is called Salsa Heat.

check out http://salsanewyork.com/
salsa is big in NY but it's on 2 you won't find much colombian style (aka 3 step salsa)

but in general there are a ton of schools and instructors in NY and it's way ahead of anything i have seen in colombia so u'll be ok.
