sorry for your loss In Colombia they burry people quick. The morgues here aren't the same as in the States. A quick autopsy, a day in the house of the family and that's it. No family or in Colombia to help?

My grandmother... ... passed away last month and the whole thing wasn't $2k. The most expensive thing was the viewing at the funeral home but then she was cremated and then put in an ossuary in Cristo Rey. That simple.

A fosa común is a big cemetary where they bury the "unknown". And yes, in Colombia everything is done withing a day or two, my grandmother passed away on a Saturday morning and she was cremated the very next day. It's not like in the States where it can take up to a week for the whole thing. They don't wait over there.

By the way, I'm really sorry for your loss. Good luck with everything.
