Hello...

My name is Rachelle. I arrived here in Medellin about two months ago. I love it here but unfortunately I am currently having problems where I am staying now and need to find a place to rent or a family to stay with asap. I have plans on staying here until next year to improve my spanish so leaving would definitely disrupt those plans. If anyone knows any information reguarding vacant rooms I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hi Rachelle,
you can stay at the hostels relatively cheap for a while, and they might also know places where you can share an appt or something. The universities might be a good place to ask around or check out the notice boards.

Good luck!

Check Neighbor Hospital Notice Boards also-many times residents living clsoe to Hospitals(esp the large ones)post notices to rent rooms to Visitors who are in the area to check on sick family members.

Try coachsurfing.com . It is a bulletin board where people put up others for
free or very cheap. I haven't used them
but heard they are useful.

In the neighborhood of the La Mota you can find little apartments for little money... you can try at La Mota residential Unit. Also looking at the universities you´ll find a lot of post of people who rent rooms

I stayed in the neighborhood of La Mota and found it safe, even at night.
I didn't know it was cheaper than other areas... How much would a typical one
Bedroom cost per month?
