Hello, My Name is Edison Miranda.

OK, last night I was flipping through channels and landed on Friday Night Fights (Boxing Event) and Edison Miranda was fighting. I was lucky and caught the entire 3 round fight, but here is the Knockout just in case you missed it. Here a brief Bio on the guy just in case you were wondering why it's on PBH. I let the commentator sum it up. oh he trains in puerto rico just in case your wondering why the PR flag is on his trunks.

Edison Miranda (January 7, 1981, Buenaventura, Colombia) is a Colombian professional boxer. Miranda was abandoned by his family at one month old and spent the rest of his childhood working in the plantain and yucca fields of Tumaco on the southern coast of Colombia. By the age of nine, he was living completely on his own, sweeping up for a street vendor in the neighboring town of Buenaventura and was working a grown-man's job in construction by the age of 12. Two years later, he worked as a cattle butcher in Barranquilla where he would soon start pursuing boxing.

Great to see someone become successful from the streets. I saw his fights with Allen Green (win) and Kelly Pavlik (loss) and he has a lot of power in his punches. With some fine tuning he could win a world championship. In the ring he certainly is a different person than outside the ring.
