I am very happy to tell you that i have finally booked my flights so i am now in the process of planning my trip and need your help... you guys are amazing and have helped me out quite a lot and who better to ask than you guys? Do any of you know where I could go during my 3 months in Colombia? I really want to go to some small towns but I have no idea where or which ones are the best to visit. I want to know if there's something especial going on during the months of April, May and June...
Any good nightclubs and bars to hang out (doesn’t matter the type of music they play I’m pretty much into anything these days) especially in Cali,
Places to go shopping for clothes in Medelling, Bogota, Manizales and Cali
Any good places to take my little daughter out
Good places to eat
And last but not least do any of you know how much it is to go to San Andres? I’ve heard of a package deal for 7 days or something like that with flights and hotel included.

San Andres which I looked in to costs about the same well from 330 to 360 pounds. IT may becheaper to book the flight and then book the hotel, as we were told by a relative that he could book us in a good hotel for 50 pounds for 5 nights. The flight will cost about one hundred pounds. After 3 or 4 nights you may want to move on. Santa Marta has more options and 7 nights may be more realistic. Remember that these places are paked with people on the beach constantly walking along one after the other trying to sell you things. Having said that these places are beautiful and you will enjoy them

kerry says on Feb 16, 2005, 08:57: more info There is one book you have to buy that is the Colombia lonely planets book. I hvae always travelled with these guide books all over the world. They are the best. The Colombia guide is a bit thin as they will not sell many copies. I would recommend Villa de Vellva 4 hours drive north of Bogota it is a small village with outstanding beauty. Stay for 2 nights. Cartegena has amazing old architecture. One travel writer said it is the first or second most beautiful town in South America.
