Executive Summary

Heat season is expected

Colombia, Bolivia and North East of Brazil are preparing for a heat season because of El Niño phenomenon, while in Ecuador, Peru and Chile are buying umbrella because there will be a wet weather. This prospect is expected in the West of South America. According to Ideam, there will be rains in Colombia until end of November. Then Colombia will register lack of water during the heat season. Temperatures in Magangué, Valledupar, Cartagena, Montería, Puerto Carreño and Neiva could reach between 31 º C and 37 º C. In Bogotá temperatures could reach 24 º C. It is expected that El Niño reaches its peak between December and January, and it would decline in March 2007. Ideam said El Niño would be like in 1992 and 1993, but its economic and social effects would be lower because measures have been taken for reducing vulnerability.

Yikes!!! Neiva could reach between 31º C and 37º C

That will be very hot, especially since most places aren't air conditioned. Luckily, my hotel has arctic blasting A/C in the rooms.

Of course, 37º still isn't as hot as a Houston summer.

You beat me to it. Heat between 31 and 37 is not very hot by Monteria standards. Frequently hits 40 and feels like Houston on a bad day.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
