Heading To Pereira in a week!

Hello,
This is my first time posting but I have been lurking on this site for some time. It is wonderful! My parents have been in Pereira visiting family for the past week and my husband and I will be joining them next Wednesday. We are really excited as my husband has never been and I haven't been in 17 years. Since I was 10 years old last time I went, I have no idea what to expect weather wise. I've asked my parents but they have given me conflicting reports (as usual with them). Does anyone have any suggestions for what we should pack?

Thanks in advance!

Natalie

I had a great time in Pereira. The city is safer than the surrounding towns. Perhaps you should posts questions as to what you want to know?

In any case, Termales is a must.

Smile if you are a thinker!

Pack a bikiny, umbrella and a comfortable shoes to walk. Elegant but casual clothes, pair of good jeans, to mixed with tops and a nice jacket. and your best smile. Do not pack a lot, because you'll see very nice and good quality clothes, that you may want to add. I Always bring less things, and more money, so I can buy a new things, depends where I'm going. And ask them to take you to eat at "el Golfito" in Pinares de San Martin. Good luck and enjoy it.

Your parents are conflicted, because they've seen the good and bad of Pereira. Just listen to what people tell you, and you will be alright. There are alot more homeless people so be especially careful at night especially arround the bad areas. For you I wouldn't worry too much since you are latina, but your husband needs to be a little more careful. If you travel by bus, it is better that you don't travel at night. It is a great city, and you will have a great time. Be smart and stay safe......... mikecolombia
