PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
After 4 months of paper work I will finally be moving to Bogotá to be with my fiancé. My job will not require me to speak Spanish but I would still like to improve my Spanish skills. My future husband’s father, friends and siblings all speak English but his mother doesn’t. I get the feeling that it upsets her that she cannot chat with me.
Are there professionals available to give me private Spanish lessons? Would it be inappropriate to go to one of the language schools and offer money to get private lessons at home?
My fiancé says that he knows of a lot of schools that teach English to Colombians but he’s not aware of schools other than formal education schools where they teach Spanish.
If anyone else has information or contacts on this matter I would appreciate it.
