Not in Bogota, it will look strange.. people will make fun of you. jajajaj. But if you are in the coast or coffe area it will look normal I think.. Anyway if you want to wear it don´t worry about what others say.

Here in Miami everyone wears a Ball cap--haven't seen too many wearing Cowboy Hats, that would mark you as a Tourist. Lots of folks (men and women) wear straw hats or a large cloth hat to protect themselves from theSun and skin cancer. Latinas especially use those big hats so they won't Tan. In Colombia my Firends all the time get on me for wearing my Bll Caps, carrying my small back backpack with raingear and umbrella. Can't be prepared or on time in Bogota-it sends the wrong signal. LOL

I sometimes wear a woolly hat in Bogota when it's cold at night. Although I haven't been made aware of anyone making fun of me, it doesn't matter really if they do. At least I don't have a cold head.
