"Hasto? Asto?" - not sure of spelling

Does anybody know what (Asto or Hasto) is? I have a cousin in CTG whose "asto" level is high . . . the explanation that I got was that its the level of bacteria in the body . . . . I have yet to have a clear explanation of what it is

I think its ASTOS. I got that I think its ASTOS. It screens bacteria causing rheumatism in your body and I think, it is also used to measure the speed in which people's blood coagulates and determine the cell count in order to be able to rule out or diagnose diseases such as cancer, leukemia and lupus.
Its called ASO (antistreptolisine O) in English, there is a lot of info on that.
Hope you find that useful.

thanks Cerealkiller . . . . . . how were you treated? My aunt tells me that my cousin was prescribed some injections that is supposed to bring the level down - I don't know if that makes any sense . . . anyway you gave me something to go on and I'll PM you with what I've found - Thanks Again

I wasnt diagnosed with any bacteria related disorder, I just happen to not have the necessary coagulating enzymes and all I can do is get transfusions when it gets bad.
