I wouldn't call Avenida Sexta a dump. I took some pictures of Ave. 6 from the balcony of a friend who lives in an apartment overlooking the Sexta, looks pretty much ok to me.

Of course, I wouldn't be familiar with the low-life establishments located there, didn't spot a gringo either.

The traffic was such a killer on the Sexta that we were busy just minding it.

Avenida Sexta has always had the reputation of being the place where the transvestites hang out. I wouldn't know. Can't tell a transvestite apart from regular streetwalkers.

sexta I've been in cali for 2 years 7 months sexta is not a dump it is just another part of a diverse country and city if you want bright lights action salsa facination it is one of the places you can go to in cali, better than chipechape or the other malls, its real, not incredibly over priced and not plastic, the centre is even more fun ( in the daytime )
