Has anyone seen the bum that frequents la sexta here in Cali? He has the really short haircut and talks to his finger. He is trully an amazing Character. It is interesting but everyone that I have talked to here seems to know about this guy. Atleast the younger generation Colombians.

Desideria (Moderator) says on May 25, 2006, 10:43: I wouldn't call Avenida Sexta a dump. I took some pictures of Ave. 6 from the balcony of a friend who lives in an apartment overlooking the Sexta, looks pretty much ok to me. Desideria (Moderator) says on May 25, 2006, 11:30: During the first couple of weeks I swore I'd never sit in front of a steering wheel in that city. Just watching my friend negotiating the traffic made me sweat cold and my adrenaline run high. I was thinking about my daughter who gets this road rage all the time, back here in Sweden and that she'd probably pop a vein driving in Cali. calikitty1 says on May 25, 2006, 20:17: brody if you can't spell ""Sweeden" (Sweden) don't comment on something you obvisouly know nothing about-like Cali. Another gem, "Sweeden must be like the opposite of Cali." Duh, it snows in Sweden and it's freezing cold.

Desideria (Moderator) says on May 26, 2006, 06:48: brody picture this: first it's always good to locate a country where it's situated on a map, if you don't know exactly. Yes, Sweden is much safer, much colder and much quieter than Cali, Colombia. Traffic is better organized and everybody does things by the book. Seasonal changes make a big difference on people's lives here: summer is vacation time, beer-drinking time, outdoors partying time and time to practice summer sports. Winter is quiet, long and serious. Think Canada climate wise, Germany partying-wise and Norway for outdoors living lifestyle.
