Has anyone heard of ...

Cornelio Hispano? I have a Colombian friend who says he is the grandson of Cornelio. I guess he was a well-known author, poet, diplomat etc. in Colombia several years ago. Does anyone know anything about him?

Thanks for the tip. However ... I was looking for some feedback from people raised in Colombia to see if the name Cornelio Hispano was ever brought up in school. Or with people getting advanced degrees in Colombia. He was a very prolific biographer of Simon Bolivar so maybe someone who studied Bolivar's life may have come across his writings. Just wanted to see what was known beyond the musings of those who build websites. Once Googled, the web pages that do mention him are not very informative. To your point, not only is Google my friend ... you are all my friends.
