Has anyone been to Paipa, Boyaca?

Any good places to eat? We'll be staying at some cabanas. Any must dos? I'll be going with my family so I'm not looking for a singles scene.

Couple of ideas -The Battle of Boyaca monument and park

-The Lanceros sculpture/monument

-Take the scenic drive all the way around the lake

If you feel like driving, explore more of Boyaca - Duitama, Nobsa, Lago de Tota are fairly close to Paipa (if I remember correctly) and then to the west is Sogamosa, Tunja, Villa de Levya, Raquira, etc

Thank you for that information I also heard about a place called Playa Blanca in the Laguna de Tota, is it far from Paipa? Not too many people seem to know about it. Again thanks for the info.

Half-Colombian rock star There's a well-known rocks star "Hoobastank'' with the hit song "The Reason'', I heard that the lead singer Douglas Robb's stepfather is Colombian and raised him since he was 1 year old, his mother is from Japan. Does anyone have any info on this?
