has anybody been on the route from bogota to Neiva?

There this litte city that seems to sit on the edge of a Canyon. It has number of resorts and such. I always wanted to stop and take some pictures but i was always in a bus. When your going through the city some parts both on your left and right seem to dip down hundreds of feet into a valley...Does anybody know what im talking about?
