hailstorm in Bogota

How are you guys in Bogota? Terrible fires a few weeks ago, and now all that rain and even HAIL! Is it true that some roofs collapsed from the weight of so much ice? I hope you are all staying warm and dry.

Just saw on earlier post on this topic. Sorry I didn't see it before, but glad to know that Mr. and Mrs. Gator weathered the storm OK. On the subject of keeping warm and dry, are space heaters easy to find and reasonably priced in Bogota or should I bring one from the US?

Buy what you need at some place like Super Ley, Éxito and others. No problem and the cost is about the same as the US. We survived but the only word I can think of is, AMAZING!!!!
There were some roofs that collapsed but only a few minor injuries.

Yeap. The 26th street, (right on the middle of our beloved downtown) had a 5 inches layer of hale. That become water the next day, therefore the streets just flood for the last two days. In "rock al parque" (The biggest rock festival in south america) they have to cancel the saturday gig becouse of the bad weather.

I came back up to my hotel room after working out and had to open my curtains it was coming down again last night, but this time it was en el Norte. Right next to Santa Ana it was completely white, but melted right away because of the heavy rain.

This is crazy weather for Bogota..for sure!

When visiting Bogotá commit this phrase to memory:
