H3 Hash House Harriers

Does anybody know of H3 in Colombia? I believe there was one several years ago in Bogota. Are there any "hashers" in Bogota or anywhere else in Colombia? Are there any "hashers" on PBH? On-On then!

for all those who don´t know what I am talking about: HHH is an expat-drinking-club-with-a-running-problem.

What I have, I do not want to lose, but Where I am I do not want to stay, but those I love, I do not want to leave, but those I know I no longer want to see, but Where I die, I do not want to go;I want to stay where I have never been

I hear the Bogotan group uses cocaine to hash out the day's run path. Is true?? Just kidding.

The H3 certainly are an interesting lot. For me never could understand doing exercise on a Sun. morning after drinking all night but I guess that's what the beer is for.

It sounds fun esp. in Bogota.

Kat, I am sure you would love it. They do hash-runs in Wales: Cardiff, Abergavenny, Brecon, Gwent and Swansea. I don´t know if any of those are close to you. The only place in the world that seems to not have enough expats apparently is Colombia. I have done runs in many places around South America, SEA, Africa etc.

is that the same of pub crawling?

No. The bunch meets (usually on Sundays) around noon or so at either someones house or at some other meeting point, then goes on a one hour orientation run that you can also walk with the older folks, hungover guys etc. and then everybody meets for down downs at either the same house which belongs to the days organizer or some pub or where ever for beers. It is a very British thing, very funny and you meet lots of people, expats as well as locals. Give it a try, it´s good fun!

I saw them a couple of weeks ago on a sunday at the bogota beer company in Usaquen.

what you believe is not important, it's what you do that counts

jonas says on Apr 11, 2008, 15:59:

here we go! Thanks Borat! I will ask at BBC.

when I first joined them in Cape Town I quickly learned about the other benefits (besides getting drunk on a Sunday): Two days later I had a fantastic flat and the following day I owned my car. From great, trustworthy people. It has become my favorite activity when getting to a new country.

jonas says on Apr 12, 2008, 15:24:

thanks bickerss but unfortunately this is outdated info. Back from 2005. Apparently they started a new group last September but I cannot find any contact information on it. Borat says he saw them last Sunday so I guess the group still exists.

No probs - you can try the Brit Embassy or Brit Council (same loc) as some of those guys hash and will be able to give you the details.
