usually women don't like backpacking alone in Colombia they always have a friend or a relative there and is not just the info they get in this kind of forum, pbh is great in easing all those fears but go and read some of the travel book they are worst. .i remember ages ago reading a book about travelling to South America and i read about Colombia and they described the place like the wild west
