Desideria (Moderator) says on Apr 22, 2005, 10:05: Puerto Tejada is very close to Cali, but the presence of the guerrilla just south of Cali is nothing really new. There was a kidnapping in La María, in the vicinity of Jamundí a few years back, conducted by the guerrilla. And all those councilmen kidnapped in the middle of the day in Cali are still held hostage, how long has it been now? Two years? Lionheart says on Apr 22, 2005, 16:30: Puerto Tejada My novia has told me about the presence of guerrilla all around Cali, especially the south and east. But she told me this is first time they actually used mortars and gas bottle rockets there. Looking at the other news I have posted I didn't see nobody mention this town yet. She is worried because it is more close to Cali than usual.

platano says on Apr 22, 2005, 17:30: Lionheart, Tell her not to worry until they have taken Unicentro, Holguines Trade Center, and there is house to house fighting in Barrio Melendez that threatens to take over the Batallón.
