Gringos welcome?

That´s the point. It will not be Uribe´s government which pays for the presence of American soldiers in Colombia, but all Colombians. Or as a comment in Semana says:

“Los Venezolanos son nuestros mejores socios comerciales al igual que Ecuador, tirar esta relación económica por el suelo será la miseria y el quiebre de miles de empresas colombianas, hay que seguir con las buenas relaciones con los vecinos, las bases gringas se puden ir para guantanamo, para el canal de panamá, para la isla de granada, para puerto rico y Mexico que es el hueco por donde le están metiendo la droga.”
