Great book to read by Hector Abad Facioliolince, our next G. Marquez.

I started reading this book last year in Colombia, and my family send it to me so I could finish it, I find it fascinating, and very well written.
Doctor Abad, Hector A F`s father was a professor of Medicine at Universidad De Antioquia, 3 of my brothers had him as a teacher, a very controversial man, that did everything possible to help the poor, and ended up paying with his life.

I don`t think it is in English yet, sorry.

I enjoyed the book, but I wonder how much of the book is an embellishment of his father's life. He puts his father way up on a pedestal. A nice recollection, like field of dreams.

He is a good man who wrote decent and often provocative articles in "La Semana". Has a good reputation here! If his father had good ideals, why should he not continue that tradition; people here due to various forms of repression are generally too scared to voice their opinions and he has my respect for trying!
