GPS maps of Cali and surrounding area

Anybody heard of any GPS street level maps for Cali
that you can upload into a Garmin or other brand of GPS navigator?

No Garmin-compatible vector maps I've come across (yet).

But there are some other maps around that could be converted. The current best of the best, at least for BOG (I haven't checked CLO) is Google Maps: if you have a cell phone with gps and internet you can find yourself on there. There's even a service which can be configured to down the download the maps so you can stay offline, but I'm afraid its a "some assembly required" job.

Buy Garmin´s WorldMap program. You´ll get good detail for Cali and anywhere else in Colombia.

And Bogota?

I read that World Map program and barely saw any roads in Cali from their website.

I did not see any digital pictures closer than 5000 ft view showing Cali with Google Earth.

I will keep my Cali paper map that covers all the streets with me and save my money!

The map in Lonely planet's guide book is OK, but too small.

The book shop in Unicentro (can´t remember its name) sells a street map that covers almost from Yumbo in the north to Pance in the South, but it´s BIG. In colour, with an index of barrios and places of interest. Printed by Cartur. Must be on sale in other places. Not exactly GPS but ...

mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com and mapcenter2.cgpsmapper.com is a great place to go for free Garmin maps. Good places to look for countries where Garmin does not even sell a product - generally better detail than their world map.
"Colombia Ruteable" by Jorge Martinez is a pretty decent Colombia-wide map. Not a huge amount of city detail though -- only very major streets.
There are also files with detailed city maps for Bogota and Medellin (not cali, cartagena, or barranquilla....).
