Hey I didn't know Google had a Colombian version! It's at http://www.google.com.co/" href="http://www.google.com.co/">http://www.google.com.co/ OK, I guess I'm just dumb :) Do people actually use it or is there a better local search engine?

It happens depending on the country where you are located Google identifies the originating IP address and automatically sends the appropriate website, but you can try any country you want,

www.google.de (germany)

www.google.mx (mexico)

www.google.fr (france)

www.google.es (spain)

etc etc etc

Ya, my Google automatically defaults to the Colombian version here in Colombia. I haven't figured out how to make it use the US version here. I type in www.google.com, but then it goes straight to www.google.com.co. Not a big deal though.
