Good place to stay in Bogota

My fiance and I were in bogota last week and we stayed at this really nice place, so since I've seen many post asking for recommendation here goes one.

Apartamentos Amoblados Viaggio
57 1 6358590 / 6358843

They have buildingas at:

Centro Internacional, Chapinero Alto (I stayed here and it was really nice, about 45 usd a nigth with breakfast included, for a really really nice tiny apartment) and in the North part of town.

Wow, prices have changed.... I have stayed in the USA for less than US$45 a night, no breakfast though. (April 2005 trip to upstate New York).

O es que vieron cara de gringo in Bogota? :-)

Platano Have you check prices of acommodation in Bogota lately? I mean nice well located places... They are so expensive!

I did research a lot before this trip and that was certainly the best deal I could find... and believe me it does reallly worth it... the place worth every single of those 95000 pesos

(plus the deal was done by me... and I certainly dont have cara de gringo)

RUV I dont think they do have a website but I did save one of their ads that came in the Aerorepublica magazine... I will see if I find it, scan it and put it in my images.

I believe you Silviat.... It is just I have not been to Bogota for five years and I am shocked at how high the prices have gone but then I always stayed at a small hotel near the Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano (very near Carrera 4 # 22-61). USD$15. No breakfast but there is a Punto Rojo nearby. Not a safe part of town but I walked it day and night and the only "susto" I experienced were "las mujeres con antena"

You will get scared next time you go and the only susto wont be just the mujeres con antena but the prices... jesus christ... acommodation has go up in an outrageous way...

2 years ago I could stay in a veeeery nice hotel for about 40 dolars (when the dolar was 2600 pesos)... but this time what I found about hotels that style was in between 80 to 150 dolars... no no no nono

so 45 dolars for this place ... muy muy bueno,

& without mujeres con antena to give you sustos in the area
