I just wanted to let everyone know about something that I have never seen before at Kiva.org. They have fully funded all of the loans for which they were fundraising. In my mind, it like the bank's loan committee meeting and deciding to fund every single application.
Here is what Kiva.org has to say "To date, Kiva has enabled lenders to send $40,462,385 to the working poor around the world.
Currently, we are experience a traffic spike and all previously fundraising loans have been fully funded. Our team is working with Kiva's Field Partners around the globe to approve new loan applications every day.
While you're waiting for an entrepreneur you'd like to fund, help support Kiva by donating to our operating expenses."
I think enough about what they do to bring this to your attention. I know that Alma del Norte is doing work to bring the efforts of Kiva.org to Colombia. Perhaps, he can chime in and give an update.
