Hi , I am moving to Colombia in a few weeks and I am currently trying to find a cable system that would allow me to get most of the channels that I get here. I am not sure if in colombia there is a cable that gives you local channels like the WB , NBC or Fox and also MTV , BET and VH1 but I tihnk I recall someone telling me that it was possible. I have checked out Direct Tv in Colombia but almost all of the channels they offer in their packages are in spanish and not the ones I am quite looking for. If anyone knows of any way of me getting that information please let me know. Thank You very much .

When I lived in Medellin, I found it very easy to watch American shows, as I had cable through Empresas Publicas de Medellin. My favorite channel was the Sony Channel, where they showed most of the important current U.S. shows. DirectTV is good, as well as SKY TV. Check it out once you get there. Good luck!

There are some Direct Tv sats foot prints whose edges fall in the middle of central america and north of part of columbia. Some people in central america and mexico can pick it up. You have to have a bigger dish. There is a web site that has information about doing that. I lost the like you might want to check the web. I was thinking about taking an american Direct Tv reciver and try it.
