Alti says on Feb 10, 2006, 17:06: i used to be in the jewelry business. i would really think twice about buying gold bars in colombia unless u have to. there are too many possible scams to even list. the price of gold is not any different in colombia than it is in the states. its the same all over the world. in my proffesional opinion it is a very bad time to buy gold. its been 20 years since gold has been over $550 an ounce. some people say it could up to $800 an ounce, but i strongly doubt that it will with the interest rate rising back in the states. even if it does go up that high look back 20 years and see what happenedthe last time. it took a nosedive under $400 in a blink of an eye. i know quite a few people who lost their shirts back then.
