Shoot I should have stocked up last time I was there at 2250.. I do $1000 at a time so I just lost 150k.. I could buy alot of groceries with that..

What's the strategy you're using now? I'm genuinely interested in knowning. And also, you can't post one strategy and use the results of another strategy to justify the first.

So you made "several purchases", that's a great way to actually dodge the question. What about the dates that you bought on and the % of your YTD purchases that occurred on that date?

politics is not too important. The international money flow is important. Look at charts from Brazil real, Chilean Peso they have all more or less the same movement. When international investors think they can invest in emerging markets they will go in this market and the currencies are climbing against the dollar or when they see too much risk and they ware searching for a save haven they will go into the dollar. But this thinks are changing in the next years.
