Going to Medellin tomorrow --Is El Poblado Av. Still a Construction Mess?

Hi Pbh'ers --

I'm flying into Medellin tomorrow and considering staying on or near El Poblado Av. Is it still a noisy, dusty construction-laden mess, or is it mostly over? I understand there is still some building construction, but will it be unpleasant to stay near there? Need to make a decision on lodging ASAP.

construction All over Oviedo and Santilla still under construction and the most dificult part is on 10 street, which is now under construction too

Oh yeah... ... it's a mess!! From Oviedo to close to Clínica de Medellín was awful last month. I took a cab from Envigado to Notaría 17 and it took almost an hour! =O

accessable Still lots of construction but as of 03/27/07 not really a problem. usually easy access and not too much noise. Stsy in the area and have a great time.
