I am traveling to Manizales Columbia for two weeks in the middle of October. Is there anything I should know about the county and the Manizales area. I dont speak any english and I have never been to Columbia. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you...

utopiacowboy says on Aug 2, 2005, 08:41: A lot of different reasons. She had kids she needed to think about. She had lost her husband. She was a very practical-minded chemical engineer. In the end I think it was meant to be - from the first time I saw her I knew that she was going to be my wife. It was like seeing someone you always knew. We have a wonderful time together and are the best of friends. For both of us it is the marriage we always dreamed of. Colombiche says on Aug 2, 2005, 08:53: The guy asked about Manizales the city .....but somehow it managed to turn into a thread about how gold digging and visa chasing colombianas are. Everything in this forum seems to always gravitate to that one conclusion. No me den trago extranjero, que es caro y no sabe a bueno.... (Rafael Godoy) 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Colombiche says on Aug 2, 2005, 09:11: to the OP I'll tell the OP, Manizales is beautiful, relatively safe city. Manizalenos are on the majority very nice people, hard working, a bit on the conservative side but with a strong bohemian streak. The women of Manizales are known for being very elegant and conservative, the type that would never step outside the house in jeans and sneakers (on average). Manizales is a very tight knit kind of city, who do you know means where you will go. You will also find that everyone seems to know what everybody else is up to. At the time I lived in an area of Texas close to Mexico with more goats and cattle than people.
